Password generator

Create long, random, unique passwords for every account with the length and characters you choose.

About Password Manager

Password Manager (VaultKeeper) keeps every password and login in one encrypted vault inside your browser, and fills them in for you. You remember one master password; VaultKeeper remembers the rest.

Your passwords, encrypted on your device

VaultKeeper is zero-knowledge. Your vault is encrypted with AES-256 on your own device, using a key derived from your master password, before it is saved or synced anywhere. We never see your master password or your data, so nobody, including us, can read your vault. That also means we can't reset your master password, so choose one you will remember.

Everything you need every day

Log in to sites with one click and save new logins as you create them. Generate long, random, unique passwords so a leak on one site never exposes another. Organise logins into folders, find any of them with search, and share a single login with someone securely instead of sending it in a chat.

Choose where your vault lives

Local mode keeps your vault only on your own computer, in an encrypted local database: nothing is uploaded or synced, it works offline, and you pay once. Individual cloud keeps an encrypted copy on our central server so your vault follows you to every browser you sign in to, for a small monthly or yearly price. Business & Enterprise gives your team shared organisation vaults with owner, admin and member roles, bulk member import and per-person sharing, priced per user.

How to install

Unzip the file for your browser into a folder you'll keep (the browser loads it from there), then:

  • Chrome, Brave, Vivaldi: open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
  • Microsoft Edge: open edge://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
  • Opera: open opera://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
  • Firefox (121 or later, use the Firefox download): open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, click Load Temporary Add-on… and choose manifest.json in the unzipped folder. Then in about:addons → VaultKeeper → Permissions, allow access to all websites so autofill works. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it closes, so load it again after a restart.
  • Safari can't load the zip directly: on a Mac with Xcode, run xcrun safari-web-extension-converter on the unzipped Chrome folder, build the app it creates, then turn VaultKeeper on in Safari → Settings → Extensions.

Pin VaultKeeper to the toolbar (the puzzle-piece icon) so it's one click away. To update, download the new zip, replace the folder's contents and click the reload icon on the VaultKeeper card.
