Desktop Timetable

Desktop Timetable builds complete, clash-free weekly timetables for schools, colleges and coaching institutes, right on your own computer. Making a timetable by hand takes days and one change can undo the whole week. Enter your setup once, press Generate, and every class's week is filled in seconds, ready to print for the staff room and every classroom.

Generate a timetable with zero clashes

The generator places subjects slot by slot and never puts a teacher in two classes at once. Every subject gets exactly the periods a week you set for each section, no teacher goes over their periods-per-day limit, a subject is spread across the week rather than piled onto one day, and free periods are spread out too. A school of ten sections and fifteen teachers is done in a fraction of a second, so you can try a change and generate again as often as you like.

Set up once, in plain screens

Enter the school's name and academic year, tick the working days and list the periods of the day with their times, breaks and lunch. Add your subjects with a colour each, your classes with their sections, and your teachers with the subjects they can teach and their daily and weekly limits. Then, class by class, set how many periods each subject gets and who teaches it, and copy the same load to the other sections in one click. If something can't fit, such as a class that needs more periods than the week has or a teacher who is overloaded, the app tells you exactly what to change.

Print it, or save it as PDF

Print the timetable of one class or teacher, every class, every teacher, or the whole school one page per day. Each timetable gets its own page with your school's name and academic year at the top, in colour or black and white, landscape or portrait, on A4, Letter, Legal or A3. Save the same pages as a PDF to email to staff and parents or put on your website.

Works offline, keeps your data private

Desktop Timetable runs entirely on your computer, with no internet connection needed after activation and no monthly fee. Your school's data never leaves your machine. Export it to keep a copy for each academic year or to move it to another computer.

What you get

A lifetime licence key, emailed straight after payment, with installers for Windows, macOS and Linux. The same key works on any of them, and you can move it to a new computer whenever you like: deactivate it in the app under Help → License, or from your order page. Payments are handled securely by Dodo Payments, and your order page always has the latest builds.
